Kerala Academy of Logistics and Advanced Customs Law (KALAC) is a premier professional training institute in Kerala, established to strengthen the state’s participation in India’s rapidly expanding logistics, customs, and international trade ecosystem.

Despite Kerala’s strategic maritime location, growing port infrastructure, and emergence as a key logistics gateway for India, participation from the state in the Customs Broker Licensing Examination (CBLE / CBLR Regulation 6)—India’s only national-level qualifying examination for licensed Customs Brokers—has historically remained critically low.

This gap has resulted in a serious shortage of locally trained, government-licensed customs professionals at a time when Kerala stands at the threshold of major logistics-led economic growth, driven by projects such as Vizhinjam International Seaport and national logistics infrastructure expansion.

KALAC was established to bridge this critical gap.
